Article 14. Content of the Animal Protection Statistics
1. The Animal Protection Statistics will include, at least, data and statistics from:
a) Central System of Records for Animal Protection and, where appropriate, other files and records in the ministries involved in the application of this law.
b) Positive list of companion animals.
c) The autonomous communities, cities of Ceuta and Melilla and local entities, within the scope of their powers of protection and animal welfare.
d) Entities registered in the Register of animal protection entities.
e) Official Veterinary Colleges.
f) Coordinating Prosecutor for the Environment and Town Planning.
g) National Crime Statistics System.
2. The competent bodies in the field of animal protection and welfare of the autonomous communities, cities of Ceuta and Melilla and the other public administrations will provide the competent ministerial department with the information on animal protection in their area of competence, necessary to prepare the Statistics of Animal Protection and meet the demands for statistical information from international organisations, as well as to facilitate citizen access to said information. In order to comply with these obligations, the competent ministerial department must coordinate with the National Institute of Statistics.
