Article 15. Publication of the Animal Protection Statistics
1. The competent ministerial department will prepare, publish and make the information contained in the Animal Protection Statistics available to the autonomous communities, cities of Ceuta and Melilla and local entities, authorised animal protection entities and other interested agents, for the adoption of public policies aimed at improving the quality of life of animals within the framework of their respective competencies.
2. In the same way, with the frequency determined by regulation, the competent ministerial department will prepare a report on the status and evolution of the protection and rights of animals that will contain an evaluation of the results achieved by the main policies adopted in this matter. This report will be presented to the State Council for Animal Protection, prior to its publication.
3. The most significant indicators will be incorporated, if applicable, into the National Statistical Plan, in accordance with the rules established to draw up said plan, in coordination with the National Institute of Statistics, so that they show the state of animal protection to the set of society, and can be taken into account in decision-making. These indicators will be developed according to regulations.
