Article 49. Registration in the Registry of animal protection entities
1. The registration of entities in the Register of animal protection entities is mandatory in order to access the authorisations and programs provided for in section 2 of this article. It will be of autonomous competence in its regulatory development and execution, within the framework of the bases established by the State, without prejudice to the fact that each registration must be reported to the General State Administration for the purposes of the necessary coordination, so that, from the moment of the incorporation to the State Register of the annotation in the autonomic, the corresponding inscriptions take effect throughout Spain.
2. Registration in the Registry of animal protection entities enables entities to access the Animal Protection Registry System, as well as the support programs for them managed by public administrations.
3. Regulations will establish the requirements that must be met by the entities provided for in the previous article in order to be registered in the Register of animal protection entities.
